          When fall came around the rain came as well. The valley was normally still, dry, and barren but now it was lush and wet with the rain and the ground was black and so, too, were the clouds that covered the mountains beyond the valley. As Julia drover faster, the mud in the road splattered beneath the wheels, covering the clean, white car in a dirty, brown muck. By now the valley was covered in darkness and Julia could barely see except when a flash of lightning illuminated it all and showed that home was still far away and that the rain was still pouring.           On the first day of school, I admit, I did not want to come back. During summer I slept until ten almost every day, and waking up at eight to prepare for the first day was a daunting task. Every class began the same way as always: handing out syllabuses, giving rules, and collecting summer homework. School starts the same way each year as though the entire system were a finely tuned machine. New York City . . . over eight million people… and I'm only one of them. I live a normal life in New York; I live in a normal apartment, have a normal job, normal friends, and relatively normal habits. I follow a normal daily routine; I get up at seven in the morning, I brush my teeth, get coffee, go to work from nine until five, sometimes visit my mother in the hospital, or see my friends, then I go home and enjoy my dinner alone, do some things for a few hours until I decide I  can sleep. However, I do have a hobby most people would not consider normal; I watch people and when I say watch I mean study. Of course I do not know their names
